Caraway -- Calvin Dean Jackson, 77, passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015, at his home. He was born March 5, 1938, in Osceola to the late Roe Andrew and Lilly Irene Hicks Jackson and married the love of his life on June 23, 1959, and shared 56 years together. Calvin enjoyed golfing, and hunting and was very family oriented. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Marshall Jackson; his children, Rodney Jackson (Jennifer) of Lake City, Robin Haddock (Keith) and Lea Ann Smithey, all of Caraway; two brothers, Dewayne Jackson (Phyllis) of Jonesboro and Loy Jackson (Donna) of Manila; a sister, Norma Jackson of Milligan Ridge; seven grandchildren, Chase Jackson and Kourtnei Qualls, both of Lake City, Heather Weaver (Daniel) of Caraway, Brock Haddock of Harrisburg, Ashley Elinburg (John) of Jonesboro, Wes Wallace and Clint Wallace (Katlin), all of Caraway; 10 great-grandchildren, Ella Ruth Qualls, Lylleigh Haddock, Joshua Weaver, Owen Weaver, Asher Elinburg, Austin Elinburg, Madison Wallace, Payton Wallace, Harper Wallace and Hadley Wallace; a future great-granddaughter in January 2016.

He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Terrance Wallace.

A celebration of his life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Rick Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Monette Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are his grandsons, and honorary pallbearers were Alton Tyler, Harold Tyler, Ben Overman, Jerry Overman, Keith Haddock, Ronald Holt, Sam Stuckey and Fred Stuckey.
