Alice Faye Ash Jones

Alice Faye Ash Jones, 75, of Jonesboro, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at NEA Hospital.

She was born Nov. 5, 1939, to Floyd Wilburn and Alice Gertrude Martin Ash, and was raised in Yarbro. She was a longtime resident of Blytheville and Gosnell before moving to Jonesboro in 2008 after retiring from Family Medicine in Blytheville where she worked as a custodian. She was an active member of South Caraway Baptist Church.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Edward Floyd Richardson; two brothers, Willard Ash and Alvin Ash; and a sister, Patsy Jean Hopper.

Survivors include her husband, Doyle R. Jones;

Two sons, Bobby W. (Sherrill) Richardson Jr. of Vilonia and Rolan F. (Cassandra) Jones of Peyton, Colorado;

Two daughters, Mary E. (Barry) Sutton of Gosnell and Alice Gertrude (Kirk) Hicks of Jonesboro;

Sseven grandchildren, Chasity Blalock, Ben Sutton, Zach Robertson, Ashley Sutton, Windy Mazurek, Kyle Jones and Caleb Jones;

Six great-grandchildren, Daniel Blalock Jr, Miranda Blalock, Romeo Wilson, Alycia McKinney, Makiara McKinney and Gracie Mae Mazurek;

Aa sister, Glenda Sue (Ken) Gross of Jacksonville, Florida; and

A brother, Ricky Leon (Connie ) Ash of Blytheville.

A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the South Caraway Baptist Church in Jonesboro with the Rev. Don Martin officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that lasting memorials be made to the South Caraway Baptist Church, 3707 S. Caraway, Jonesboro AR 72404.
