Arthur Howell Bonds died Jan. 14, 2019, at the age of 94. He was born Feb. 24, 1924, in Lepanto. His parents were Howard Talmadge (H.T.) Bonds, Sr. and Eula Vick Bonds. He grew up in Lepanto and Bondsville. He graduated from Gulf Coast Military Academy in Gulfport, Miss. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy, working at MIT in Boston on research and development of radar systems.
