Susan Arlene Robinson

Susan Arlene Robinson, 70, of Leachville, widow of Guy Junior Robinson, passed from this life Monday, March 18, 2024, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born in Poplar Bluff, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Dott Reel Watson and was raised in Holcomb, Mo. Susan attended Holcomb High School and Arkansas State University and had taught English and mathematics at the Wardell, Buffalo Island Central and Riverside school districts. She was a longtime member of the Leachville First United Methodist Church and Chapter AC of the PEO Sisterhood. Susan enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed tending to her horses and other animals. She was an avid reader and book collector and enjoyed watching the QVC Shopping Network.

Survivors include her son, Dal Luther (Rhonda) of Leachville; one brother, C.P. Watson (Cheryl) of Kennett, Mo.; one sister, Margaret Watson of Holcomb, Mo.; one grandson, Lane Luther of Paragould.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 22, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Christopher Metcalf officiating. Burial will follow in the Horner Cemetery in Hornersville, Mo. Serving as active pallbearers will be Ron Hitt, Tyler Copeland, Caleb Miller, Jerred Posey, Les Goodson and Mylo Ball. Honorary pallbearers include Kenny Jackson, Randy Jackson, Leon Swihart, Ronnie Metcalf, Larry Hicks, Stan Whitlow, Danny Ford and Dale Cook. The family will receive visitors Friday from noon until service time at the funeral home.
