William Lee Maddox

William Lee Maddox, 52, of Lepanto, passed away March 11, 2024, at St Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born July 6, 1971, in Osceola, to William and Carolyn Collins Maddox. William, a devoted father, cherished his children above all else. Family meant the world to him, and he was a loving son and brother. He found joy in riding dirt roads while listening to music, and he recently shared a special mudding experience with his sister Samantha. William dedicated his career to being an over the road truck driver. His smile had the power to light up even the darkest of rooms, leaving a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Maddox of Lepanto; one son, Zachary Maddox of Lepanto; one daughter, Hannah Maddox of Lepanto; and four sisters, Samantha (Avery Stephens) Anguiano, Christy (Rafael Sanchez) Maddox, Jennifer Maddox, and April (Jose) Galvan, all of Lepanto; seven nieces, Mary, Julia, Madelyn, Chloe, Heather, Julianne and Amanda; four nephews, Zachary, Leo, Michael and Jose; three great-nieces, Lyla, Lexi and Sloane; and three great-nephews, Lincoln, Matteo, Theo, and another on the way.

William was preceded in death by his father, William Cloys Maddox; his son, Jacob Lee Maddox; and his sister, Amanda Maddox.

A visitation was held Wednesday, March 13, from 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 1323 W. Keiser Ave., Osceola. The funeral service was Thursday, March 14, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Lepanto, with Bro. R.J. Platz officiating. William was laid to rest at Potter Cemetery, Lepanto.

Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola assisted the family with the funeral arrangements.

William Lee Maddox will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
