Alma Jean Moody Roehrig, 84, of Crystal Lake, Ill., passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 10, 2024. She was born Sept. 2, 1939, in Blytheville to the late Jack and Birdie Lucille Moody. Alma Jean grew up in Blytheville on a cotton field. She was a tomboy and loved adventure. That did not change once she had children and grandchildren. She enjoyed bringing all of them along on her adventures. Alma loved to dance and sing; she was always acting goofy trying to get a laugh. She loved to take care of people and worked for Visiting Angels for many years. Her love of people brought her to work with Avon where she could meet many new people. Most of all, Alma Jean loved her family with all her heart. She is loved and will be missed tremendously.

Alma Jean is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Albert Joseph Roehrig, with whom she married on Dec. 13, 1958 in Lone Oak; children, Gralin J (Kathy) Roehrig Sr. of Lostant, Ill., Ashley C. (Keith) Brewster of Marengo, Ill., Vanessa J. Roehrig of Crystal Lake, Ill., Garett Roehrig of Crystal Lake, Ill., Galvin J. (Tina) Roehrig of Wonder Lake, Ill.; grandchildren, Gralin J.
