Michael George Bunch, 75, of Manila, passed from this life Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at his home. Born and raised in Manila, he was the son of the late George and Grace Hicks Bunch and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and the owner and operator of Bunch’s Cabinet Shop. He was a longtime member of Herman Davis American Legion Post 197 and enjoyed fishing, hot rod cars and watching westerns. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Arthur B. Bunch, JR Bunch and Garry Bunch; five sisters, Helen Woolf, Martha Cary, Carolyn Bill, Ruth Riggs and Yvetta Bunch.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth “Carroll” Reeves Bunch of the home; one son, Shane Bunch (Holly) of Webb City, Mo.; three daughters, Vickie Bunch, of Houston, Texas, Tammy Bunch Garza (Victor), of San Antonio, Texas. and Jessica French of Manila; four stepsons, Eric Evans of Manila, Bobby Reeves (Cheri) of Rineyville, Ky., Steven Guy of Caruthersville, Mo., and Shane Evans of Manila; one stepdaughter, Kelly Bolding of Searcy; one brother, Jim Bunch of Mobile, Ala.; two sisters, Minnie Bourland of Vallejo, Calif., and Sherry Pratt of Manila. He also leaves 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; five step grandchildren and two step great-granddaughters.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 11, at the Howard Funeral Service chapel in Manila with Retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Dave Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive visitors Monday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
