Doris Ann Washington-Williams was born June 13, 1961, in Forrest City to Nathaniel Washington and Selma Roger Washington.

Doris accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in Blytheville. She was an ordained minister who served at the United Missionary Baptist Church in Gobler, Mo. Doris graduated from Blytheville High School in 1979. She was employed as a supervisor at Borg-Warner until the factory closed while she was a resident of Blytheville. She moved to Munford, Tenn., and worked as a supervisor there for a while. She changed many lives while upholding her professionalism, and she formed enduring friendships with a number of people she worked with.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Isaiah, Roger Keith and Herman Lee; and a precious baby girl. Doris passed away on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, at the age of 62.

She leaves to cherish memories two sons, William Albert (Parisse) McKinney III, of Jonesboro, Ga., and Seldrick McKinney of Gosnell; Doris added a bonus daughter to her family, Angel (Tyrell) Sherrill-James of Southhaven, Miss.; nine grandchildren, Charity McKinney, William McKinney, Arianna Ellwood, Jordan McKinney, Kaydence and Kyhler McKinney, Z’myra Coleman, and Ra’Lei Station; two great-grandchildren Azariya Goin and Amiyah Jones; two sisters, Sandra Dee Washington-Almond of Norfolk, Vir., and Martha Ann (Ricky)Washington of Blytheville; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 1, from 5-7 p.m. in the chapel of McDonald-Horne Funeral Home, 1207 South Division, Blytheville. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 2, at 2 p.m. at New Immanuel Baptist Church,1425 South Elm Street, where Reverend Burton Furlow is the pastor. Reverend Marvin Smith, pastor of Springfield Missionary Baptist Church of Senatobia, Miss., will deliver the eulogy with interment to follow in Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery.
