Ocella Wilson was born March 7, 1955, to Willie and Orliner Taylor in Jericho, Ark. Ocella was a loving, God-fearing woman who opened her heart and home to family and friends throughout the course of her life. She had a smile that would brighten any room she entered. Ocella was known to family as being one of the strongest women to walk this earth. She loved attending church and was a member of Open-Door House and Prayer. One of her biggest enjoyments was to gather with her children and grandchildren and make memorable moments that will be cherished for a lifetime.

Ocella transitioned from this earth on Feb. 16, 2024, at St Bernards Regional Center in Jonesboro. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Orliner Taylor; brothers, JB Taylor, Willie Taylor Jr. and Eddie C. Taylor; sisters, Ruthie Mae Lewis and Betty Jean Bradley; and great-granddaughter, Silver Cassidy.

She leaves to cherish her memories six brothers, Cleo (Yvonne) Taylor, Calvin (Willie Mae) Taylor and Oval (Trine) Taylor, all of Sikeston, Mo., Soloman (Dorothy) Taylor of West Memphis, Freddie L. Taylor of Fort Myers, Fla., and Chester Taylor of Louisville, Ky.; six sisters, Marilyn (Johnnie) Aldridge, Dorothy Carmona of Sikeston, Mo., Josephine Taylor of Blytheville, Shirley Taylor, Jackie Taylor and Dorothy Taylor of Louisville, Ky.; three daughters, Kizzy (Jimmy) Cowley, Demetria Taylor and Tracie Taylor of Blytheville; three sons, August Harris, Mario (Kimberly) Pittman, both of Kennett, Mo., and Kenneth Taylor of Blytheville; as well as two special friends, Carolyn Knowles of Blytheville and Alice Mae Robinson of West Memphis; 33 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and relatives that loved her dearly.

The family will accept visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 1, at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at Open Door House of Prayer in Blytheville with Bishop Henry Mays officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Garden Cemetery.
