Johnnie Loyd Johnson Sr.

Johnnie Loyd Johnson Sr., 66, of Manila, passed away Feb. 8, 2024. He was born June 6, 1957, in Manila to William and Edna Johnson. Johnnie was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Johnnie is survived by his wife, Freedia Johnson, of the home; son, Johnnie Johnson Jr., of Manila; brother, Harold Johnson, of Carroll’s Corner; sister, Gearldean Hicks, of Orrick, Mo.; two granddaughters, Chloe and Kaitlon Johnson; and great-grandson, David Shepperson III.

Johnnie was preceded in death by his father, William A. Johnson, and his mother, Edna Johnson.

Visitation was held Monday, Feb. 12, from 6-8 p.m. at the People of Praise Pentecostal Church, located at 109 E. 9th Street, Leachville. The funeral service will be held at the church on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 1 p.m., with Bro Don Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Manila Cemetery.

Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge of all arrangements.
