Marcia Brianne Thomas

Tuesday, February 13, 2024

Ms. Marcia Brianne Thomas was born in Blytheville on April 29, 1977, to Doris Jean Benson White and Charles Williams, Sr. On Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024, Marcia transitioned to her heavenly home to reunite with some of her loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents, Doris Jean Benson White and Charles Williams, Sr.; brother, Jeffrey Benson; sister, Lourisa Jefferson; two grandchildren, Chance and Chase Bell; two aunts, Robbie Soward Conley and Zetta Williams; and three uncles, Sam Williams, Cecil Williams and Reverend Jacquin Benson, Sr.

Under the leadership of Reverend Odale Jones, Marcia accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior in the prime of her youth. Marcia was a faithful member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Blytheville until she relocated to Jonesboro, where she connected with Fullness of Joy Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Dr. Adrian Rodgers. You could always count on Marcia being in the midst of worship until her health began to decline.

Marcia attended Blytheville High School where she graduated in the class of 1995. During career tenure, she was employed with multiple companies: Courier News, St. Bernards Medical Hospital, and Food Smart Grocery, just to name a few. Marcia enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and if you asked any of her children or family, she was the best cook around.

Marcia leaves to celebrate her life and memories three daughters, Shabria Williams, Tynecia Bell and LaDaisha Bell all of Jonesboro; one son, Cleotha “CJ” Bell, Jr. of Little Rock; three brothers, Charles Williams, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas, Marquette Martin of Blytheville and Richard Anderson of Conway; three sisters, Bernetta (Fredrick) Taylor of Blytheville, Yolanda (Patrick) Lovelace of Aurora, Ill., and Shuntrell Martin of Blytheville; raised as a brother, Aaron (Peggy) Soward of Blytheville; stepmother, Willie Mae Williams of Conway; four grandchildren, JaDarius Jackson, Aasin Bell, Yani Bell, Deighla Perry; one bonus grandchild, Jaleigh Williams; four aunts, Virginia Mosley, Thelma Benson, Jennie Johnson and Lula Mae Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Sometimes a bond is broken, and words cannot be spoken. Sometimes joy cannot be expressed, but we all know we are blessed.

Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 17, from 12-1 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church, Blytheville. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Interment will be at Sandy Ridge Cemetery in Burdette.

Services are entrusted to Gary Wolfe at Wolf Brothers Funeral Home & Cremation.
