Donna Gail Hinton, 82, of Blytheville, passed away peacefully Jan. 18, 2024, at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born in Blytheville and was the only child of Edward Mitchell and Mary Sue (Maynard) Bresharse.

She was a lifelong resident of Blytheville and was known by many as “Ms. Donna” from her days of caring for children at Paynes’ Nursery. After a few years she then began her 28 year career with JC Penney company in Blytheville where she grew to become a merchandising manager with her specialty being in the men’s department. She could fit anyone with a suit.

She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and served in children’s ministries, WMU women’s ministry, Sunday school department as well as many other areas in her church. She was a charter member of North Tenth Street Baptist Church.

She loved children and she loved animals, especially dogs. On more than one occasion, a furry friend would come home with her after she volunteered with the Humane Society.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Donna was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Sue Morgan.

She is survived by the love of her life of over 61 years of marriage, her husband Waylon Hinton of the home; two sons, Cliff (Stephanie) Hinton of Edmond, Okla., and Glenn (Gina) Hinton of Lawton, Okla.; one son-in-law, Jerry Morgan of Blytheville; 11 grandchildren, Chris (Victoria) Hinton of Heath, Texas, Jeremy (Jessica) Hinton of Seminole, Okla., Jennifer Hinton of Edmond, Okla., Lindsey (Taylor) Lambert of Edmond, Okla., Nick Hinton of Edmond, Okla., Aleigh (Jacob) Quickle of Fort Smith, Eithen Hinton of Edmond, Okla., Dylan Morgan of Blytheville, Kristyn Hinton of Edmond, Okla., Brody Morgan of Blytheville, Addison Peiroo of Oklahoma City, Okla.; seven great-grandchildren, Jaiden Hinton, Everett Hinton, Jordan Hinton, Mila Hinton, Crosby Lambert, Theo Lambert and very soon Juniper Lambert.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, at North Tenth Street Baptist Church in Blytheville with Rev. Steve Miller officiating.The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Dogwood Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
