Wilda Susan “Sue” England

Wilda Susan “Sue” England, 87, of Jonesboro, formerly of Manila, the widow of the late Robert L. England, passed from this life Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024, at The Springs of Jonesboro. Born in Monette, she was the daughter of the late A.M. and Martha Gilmore Cossey and had been a longtime Manila resident before making her home in Jonesboro. She was a “fashionista” enjoying all kinds of fashion, her favorite holiday was Christmas during which time she would cook, bake and make candy. She enjoyed being a homemaker, spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Robert L. England Jr.; two brothers, Dale Cossey and Arch Cossey; and one sister, Lanell Rice.

Survivors include her son, Michael England, and his wife, Mary Kathryn, of Jonesboro. She also leaves five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Manila Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila. Serving as eulogists will be Amanda West and Jeremy England. The family will receive visitors from 10-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
