Carol Yarbro

Carol Yarbro, 81, of Manila, widow of Billy Yarbro, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born in Manila to the late William and Eula Maven McGrew, Carol had attended Manila Public Schools and was a lifelong area resident. She was retired from the former Dancewear USA company in Manila and had been a longtime member of the Westside Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold McGrew, Jerry McGrew and W.H. McGrew; and a grandson, Jason Yarbro.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Holly Yarbro of Horseshoe Lake; granddaughter, Renee Veach, and her husband, Brandon, of Manila; three great-grandchildren, Caleb Suiter, Riley Parker and Tyler Yarbro. She also leaves one brother, Dale McGrew, and two sisters, Laverne Shipley and Linda Crouse, all of Manila.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel at Manila with Rev. Eddie Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery.
