Charles Lindel Lipford

Charles Lindel Lipford, 76, of Blytheville, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023, at his home.

Born to Charles F. Lipford and Opal Louise Hardin, he was a machine operator at Paco Steel. Charles proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He served multiple tours on LST-1073 Outagamie County in San Diego, Calif., in Vietnam. His hobbies were hunting and reading. Charles was generous with his time and loved to help others. Charles was a three-time cancer survivor. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents.

Charles is survived by his wife, Dessie Ammons Lipford of the home; son, Michael Lipford (Emily) of Gates, Tenn.; sister, Sandra Ocwieja (Frank) of Scotia, N.Y.; grandsons, Jered Lipford (Sara) of Hot Springs, Adrian Lipford (Lexi) of Dexter, Mo., Jay Roberts (Jasmine) of Ripley, Tenn., and Jordan Roberts of Gates, Tenn.; granddaughter, Jestina Ricci (Daniel) of Rockville, Md.; three great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
