Eddie Lee Black

Eddie Lee Black, 58, of Osceola, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Eddie was born in Osceola on July 16, 1964 to the late Solomon and Emma Dean Jackson Black. He was employed at Jim Ross Tires in Osceola for 45 years and was a member of Bethlehem MB Church in Osceola.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Black was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Black, and one sister, Emma Golden.

He leaves behind two sons, Roderick Black of Luxora and E’lijah ‘Juan Black of Osceola; seven sisters, Carrie Black of Jonesboro, Diann Love of Sioux City, Iowa, Dorothy Marshall, Joyce Jones, Myrtle Mitchell, Bertha Rice and Pauline Edward, all of Osceola.

Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 11, from 1-2 p.m. with the funeral at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem MB Church in Osceola. Burial will be at Sandy Ridge Cemetery in Burdette with Dr. Moses Black officiating.

Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola will be in charge of all arrangements.
