Willie James Jones

Willie James Jones, 71, of Jacksonville, formerly of Osceola, passed away Sept. 30, 2023, at the VA Hospital in Little Rock. He was born April 10, 1952, in Osceola to Jimmy Davis and Willie Gertrude Jones Kimble. Mr. Jones was a U.S. Navy veteran and a retired cook. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Jones; one daughter; one brother Robert Jones; and one sister, Lillie Kimble.

He is survived by one daughter, Mary Nicole Jones of Wichita, Kan.; two brothers, Charles Mott and Sammie Kimble of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Betty Richmond of Osceola and Dianna Robinson of Jacksonville; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 14, from 1-2 p.m. with the funeral at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial will be at Sandy Ridge Cemetery in Burdette with Dr. Moses Black officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola will be in charge of the arrangements.
