Sandra Lee Mullins

Sandra Lee Mullins, 64, affectionately called, “Sondra” peacefully departed this life on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023. She was born to the late Leroy Mullins Sr. and Carrie Shaw Mullins on Jan. 18, 1959, in Blytheville. She was raised in Blytheville, where she attended public schools and later graduated with honors from R.B. Harrison High School. She attended Mississippi County Community College prior to entering the U.S. Army and served as a secretary and cook and received an honorable discharge.

She loved reading, cooking and attending family and friends’ gatherings. Sandra had an unbelievable memory and could quote stories, movies, and events from start to finish. She was often relied on for family history. She was known for her witty sense of humor and straight forward and no-nonsense personality! Sandra was a math wizard. She was great with numbers. With an innate knack for problem-solving, she effortlessly tackled intricate mathematical challenges, making even the most convoluted problems seem like child’s play.

Sandra was a sweet, humble, and loving spirit who loved her family unconditionally and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her children, Jasha and Latrina Mullins, she leaves to cherish fond memories two brothers, Leroy Mullins Jr. of Blytheville and Taywann Mullins of Blytheville; eight sisters, Irma Jones (Michael) and Alice Roberts, both of Fort Worth, Texas, Marilyn Mullins-Martinez of Tempe, Ariz., Debra Kirkwood of Blytheville, Jacqueline Mullins of Jacksonville, Fla., Daphne Robinson (Gerod) of Portsmouth, Vir., and Mary Bradley (Rodney) of San Antonio, Texas; devoted caregivers Derick Wells, Jada Mullins, Courtney Mullins and Nadia Wells; a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Mullins Sr., mother, Carrie Shaw Mullins, brother, James Lawshea and sister, Galen Mullins.

The visitation was Sept. 1, from 11 a.m. to noon at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville with the funeral to follow. Burial was located at Gethsemane Cemetery. Pastor Johnny Williams officiated.

Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
