Mary Ann Camp Henry

Mary Ann Camp Henry, 83, of Jonesboro, former longtime Manila resident, passed from this life Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023, at her home. Born in Leachville, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Thomas Newton Lawrence and had been a longtime Manila resident before making her home in Jonesboro. Mary had worked as the assistant director of the Mississippi County Senior Citizens Center and had owned and operated Ms. Camp’s Daycare in Manila for several years. Mary enjoyed being with children, working with flowers and reading. She was also an avid St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jerry Camp, and her second husband, Lonnie Henry; her daughter, Kimberly Camp Dixon; four brothers, Edward Lawrence, W.C. Lawrence, Charles Lawrence and Bobby Lawrence; and two sisters, Betty Brust and Joyce Barber.

She is survived by one son, Jared Camp (Samantha Warr) of Manila; two daughters, Tosha Bouser of Manila and Amy Willis of Jonesboro; one brother, Robert Lawrence; four sisters, Edna Spencer, Ethel Edwards, Ruth Harrell and Patsy McGrew. She also leaves one grandson, Rylan Frazier; and one granddaughter, Taylor Willis.

Graveside funeral service was 11 a.m. Friday in the Manila Cemetery with Rev. Ray Dill officiating. Burial was under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila. The family received visitors Friday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
