Gary Lynn Thomas

Gary Lynn Thomas, 55, of Leachville, passed from this life Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023, at his home. Born in Paragould, he was a lifelong Leachville resident and a 1987 graduate of Buffalo Island Central High School. Gary worked many years for Buffalo Island Central public schools and had also worked for J.K. Products in Jonesboro and the Adams Estate in Leachville. He enjoyed hunting and collecting marbles and spending time with his family. He was a member of the New Providence Baptist Church. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Thelbert “Shot” Thomas.

Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Doris Miller Thomas of the home; mother, Laverne Cole Thomas of Leachville; two brothers, Tim Thomas and Norman Thomas, both of Leachville; sister, Sheila McFarland of Leachville; stepdaughter, Chasity Carmichael Eno of Leachville; and grandson, Preston Dunn of Leachville. Survivors also include a special niece, nephew, and great-nieces, Hollie Goodson, Kimzey Cagle, and Hadlie Goodson.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Allen Glass officiating. Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Kimzey Cagle, Preston Dunn, Chuck Miller, Wayne Sexton, Ervin Sexton and Ronnie Sexton.
