Hubert Lee Brown Jr.

Hubert Lee Brown Jr. was born Dec. 27, 1950, to Hubert Brown Sr. and Lucille Wiley Brown in Osceola. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age, being baptized at Friendly Bethel Church.

Hubert was an endeared father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Hubert served his country in the United States Navy for five years. He was a dedicated worker at American Greeting for 27 years and Kagome Creative Foods for 13 years.

Hubert was called home on Aug. 18, 2023. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Wiley Brown; father, Hubert Brown Sr.; wife, Rutha Brown; sisters, Lois Barnes, Shirley Brown and Peggy Brown; and brother, Joe Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memories four sons, James Brown of Osceola, Dustin (Jameka) Littleton of Benton Harbor, Mich., Timothy (Amy) Brown of Blytheville and Brandon (DeLois) Wallace of Villa Rica, Ga.; three daughters, Trina Lunsford of Osceola, Mareed (Steven) Anderson and Kentra (Ray) Riley, both of Blytheville; three sisters, Leola (Vester) Robinson, Judy Brown and Helen Brown, all of Osceola; two brothers, Tony (Imani) Brown of Las Vegas, Nev., and Eddie James (Tammy) Brown of Townsville, Ind.; stepchildren, Eva Alexander and Ruthie Alexander, both of Osceola; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-10:55 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at Pleasant Grove M.B. Church in Osceola. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.
