Peggy Bennett Kenner, 74, peacefully departed from this earthly realm to her eternal home on Aug. 15, 2023. Her brief battle with brain cancer came to an end in Blytheville surrounded by her loved ones. Peggy was born in Memphis, Tenn., on Sept. 2, 1948, to John Harold and Gladys Bennett. She married Billy, her high school sweetheart, Feb. 11, 1967.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 56 years, William N. Kenner; her daughters, Suzanne Kenner of Fayetteville and Jennifer Kenner Krutz (Jason) of Starkville, Miss.; five grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Abigail, Eli, Tatum, Liam and Teddy; a sister, Bettie Jacocks (Jerry) of Collierville, Tenn.; and numerous dear friends that brought much enjoyment to her life.

Peggy was a member of First United Methodist Church in Blytheville where she was a faithful and devoted servant, but more importantly, a member of the body of Christ. A true servant at heart, Peggy was a dedicated, active member of PEO Chapter CI. One of her greatest enjoyments was her bridge club(s) and traveling with her friends. Her legacy is one of unwavering compassion, always ready to love on others. “Activity Director” Peggy will be remembered by telling others how to eat healthy and exercise, be happy, dance, and live life to the fullest.

Peggy obtained her Associate Degree of Nursing from Mississippi County Community College (Arkansas Northeastern College) in 1985 and went to work for Dr. W.W. Workman before a 14 year career in home health and hospice. She then went on to serve the community of Westminster Village as the wellness nurse where she taught Silver Sneakers to her many friends.

The family encourages those who attend the visitation and/or service on Saturday to wear bright colors to celebrate Peggy’s colorful spirit. Visitation will be held at First United Methodist Church, Blytheville, on Friday, Aug. 18, from 4–7 p.m. in the sanctuary.
