Sister, wife, mother, and grandmother – a woman who loved and was well-loved; Thelma Norris passed away surrounded by family on Aug. 3, 2023, at the age of 81.

Thelma was the second of four children born July 16, 1942, to William Edward Sr. and Dollie Dimple Stark in Butler County, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert “Red” Norris; and sisters, Dora (Frank “Babe”) Ciceraro and Lois Annette (Dwayne) Hatchel.

She is survived by her brother, William “Bill” Edward Jr. (Cynthia) Stark of Mountain Home; daughter, Kimberly Norris Zecman (the late Karl Zecman) of Blytheville; two sons, Steve Norris of Fredericksburg, Vir., and Scott (Larissa) Norris of Blytheville; grandchildren, Heather, Blake, Christopher (Tyler), Denise, Anna (Luke), Madison, and Gavin who remember her lovingly as Neenie; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Thelma was known for her feisty spirit and “Stark” stubbornness. She was an avid QVC shopper, loved any card game she could win, making to-do lists for others, and working in her yard. She also enjoyed spending time with her beloved dog, Sadie-Mae.

A celebration of life was scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, at Gosnell Baptist Church. She was laid to rest with her husband at Dogwood Cemetery. A graveside service will be held on Monday, Aug. 7, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Angel Tree Program at Gosnell Baptist Church would be greatly appreciated. Special thanks to the staff of Dierksen Hospice, especially her nurses, Jamie, Candace and Tonya, for your dedication and love. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
