Richard L. Collier, Sr.

Richard L. Collier, Sr., 75, passed away Aug. 1, 2023, at Lakeside Nursing Center in Lake City. He was born March 4, 1948, in Colt to Arthur Lee and Bertha Munn Collier. Mr. Collier was a retired mechanic and a Vietnam Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Richard L. Collier, Jr.; one brother, John Westley Ellis; six sisters, Alice Smith, Floydie Lee Schock, Maxine Beard, Jessie Evelyn Young, Clara Faye Hooker and Roxanne Flemming.

He is survived by three sons, Timothy (Jessica) Collier, Travis Collier and Kevin (Hanna) Collier of Marked Tree; daughter-in-law, Julie Collier of Heber Springs; six grandchildren, Zac Collier, Jordan Collier, Jake (Hayley) Collier, Emilee Collier, Hayden Collier and Alexis Collier; and one great-grandchild, Lucian Collier.

Graveside services will be Friday, Aug. 4, at 10:30 a.m. at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye with Bro. Patrick Tucker officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza is in charge of the services.
