Donald Edward Edgin

Donald Edward Edgin, 72, longtime Leachville resident, passed from this life Monday, June 12, 2023, at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. Born and raised in Leachville, he was the son of the late Ernest and Goldie Bazzille Edgin and a 1969 graduate of Leachville High School. Donald was a U.S. Army veteran serving two tours in Vietnam. He was a longtime employee of Southworth Products Company in Manila before medical issues forced him to retire. Donald enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, showcasing his artistic ability by painting and spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Melinda Myers Edgin; daughter, Houston Tyler Edgin Palmer; and brother-in-law, Gerald Carmichael.

Survivors include one son, Nevada Edgin, and wife Casie; one daughter, Monica Thacker, and husband Brian, all of Leachville; three brothers, Doug Edgin, and wife Carrie of Farley, Iowa, Lloyd Edgin, and wife Shelia of Leachville and Danny Tracer, and wife Debbie of Hackett; one sister, Joann Carmichael of Leachville; nine nieces and five nephews and longtime friend Sam Guge.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday, June 16, in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with pastor David Price officiating. The family will receive visitors Friday from 1 p.m. until service time. Online guest register: www.howardfuneralservice.com
