Anna Beth Thomas, 87, of Leachville, widow of Mr. Ray Thomas, passed from this life Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Dell, she was the daughter of the late Freeman and Agnes Andrews Malloy. Raised in Arbyrd, Mo., she was a graduate of Arbyrd High School. She had been a Leachville resident since 1961 and was a member of the Leachville First Baptist Church. Anna Beth and her late husband, Ray, owned several businesses and restaurants in Leachville and Monette and had a multitude of friends and family. She loved the Lord and her family and enjoyed spending time with all of them. She was an excellent cook, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to being a business owner, she served on the Leachville City Council, Leachville Industrial Development Commission and the Mississippi County Republican Party Committee. After retiring as a business owner, she worked part-time for the United States Postal Service. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include one daughter, Candice Denny (Larry) of Leachville; two grandchildren, Amanda McFall (Darrin) of Leachville and Blake Denny (Lauren) of Greensboro, N.C.; five great-grandchildren, Andrew, Brody, Sophia, Logan and Brayden; brother-in-law, Dennis Thomas and sister-in-law, JoNell Malloy. Anna Beth also leaves several nieces and nephews and their families which she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at the Leachville First Baptist Church with Brother David Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Darrin McFall, Jodie Harden, Kevin Malloy, Dr. Trent Pierce, Barry Scott and Blake Denny. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Houseworth, Paul Wildy, Jimmy Fleeman, Larry Petty and Ronnie Metcalf.
