Letha Mae Swift

Letha Mae Swift, 69, of Blytheville, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023. She was born to Alfonzo and Johnetta McKinney on Dec. 28, 1953, in Blytheville. Mrs. Swift was a retired social worker for the state of Arkansas after serving 20 years as well as a member of Mt. Nebo Church where she took part in the church choir and sat on the mother board. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Clarence McKinney Sr. and Alfonzo McKinney Jr.; and one sister, Fonzetta Booker.

Mrs. Swift is survived by her husband, Clarence Swift of Blytheville; one daughter, Barbara Wilbon of Blytheville; one brother, Lee Joe McKinney of Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Gloria Edwards of Chicago, Ill., and Josephine Lewis of Memphis, Tenn.; as well as three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 1 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. Burial will be at Gethsemane Cemetery in Blytheville. Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville is in charge of arrangements.
