Annie Elizabeth Jay

Annie Elizabeth Jay, 94, of Earle passed away April 18, 2023, at Lakeside Nursing Center in Lake City. She was a retired factory worker and of the Pentecostal faith. Ms. Jay was born May 10, 1928, in Memphis, Tenn., to Albert James and Virginia Allbert Arquitt, Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents; her wonderful Christian husband, Raymond Hugh Jay; and her brother, Albert James Arquitt, Jr.

She is survived by four nephews, James Arquitt of Atlanta, Ga., Ronnie (Cheryl) Arquitt of Tyler, Texas, Albert (Myra) Arquitt of Earle and Tim (Tonya) Arquitt of Lake City; two nieces, Dorothy Roberts of McDonauch, Ga., and Charlotte (David) Younger of Paris, Tenn.; and her sister-in-law, Mary Smithey of Keiser.

Visitation will be Friday, April 21, from 10-11 a.m. with the funeral at 11 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza. Burial will be at Gibson Bayou Cemetery in Earle with Bro. Tim Arquitt officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza is in charge of arrangements.
