Harvey Lee Jefferson of Blytheville was born Aug. 17, 1966, in Blytheville, the son of Frank Jefferson, Jr. and Earnestine Brown Jefferson. Harvey was a member of New St. Luke Church under the leadership of Pastor Donald Jenkins. He was a 1984 graduate of Northwestern High School in Flint, Mich. He was employed by Arkansas Steel and Processing until his retirement. Harvey was a “Jack of All Trades”, detailing cars, cooking for his family. Most of all Harvey was man that loved and cared for his family and friends.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Earnestine Jefferson; one sister, Nodie Mae Turner; and two brothers, Frank Jefferson, III and Gale Jefferson. He passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro at the age of 56.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Lewis Jefferson of the home; one son, Demontay Jefferson of Blytheville; one daughter, Jaquetta Bailey (Devonta Jones) of Flint, Mich.; three brothers, Robert (Emma) Jefferson of Blytheville, Gus (Dawnette) Jefferson of Flint, Mich., and Ernest (Earnestine) Jefferson, also of Blytheville; one sister, Loisstine Donaldson of Blytheville; two grandchildren, Ke’Den Bailey and Kalyah Jones, both of Flint, Mich.; a god-daughter, Treasure Nance of Blytheville; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 15, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, in Blytheville, at 1 p.m. Pastor Donald Jenkins will deliver words of comfort to family and friends.
