Alma Jean Madden Young

Alma Jean Madden Young, 65, of Lepanto, passed away March 14, 2023, at NEA Baptist in Jonesboro. She was a cafeteria worker. Mrs. Young was born Nov. 4, 1957, in Colbert, Ala., to Elizabeth Madden. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Ray Madden and Jesse Gray.

She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Madden of Lepanto; her husband, Sam Young of Lepanto; two children, Steve Madden of Lepanto and April (Bobby) Lewallen of Paragould; six stepchildren, Charles (Enda) Monk of Jonesboro, Christopher (Latrelle) Young of Gosnell, Gregory Young, Nicholas Garrett and Hope Young of Lepanto and Jacaynlene Monk of Bentonville; three brothers, Leander Gray of Fort Worth, Texas, Rubby Gray and Jerome Madden of Lepanto; one sister, Lila Hister of Marked Tree; five grandchildren, Jase Whitfield, Jaylin Pearson, Jordan Lewallen, Zachary WIlliams and Jordan Bowman; 15 step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 18, from 12-2 p.m. with the funeral at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza. Burial will be at Pine Rest Cemetery in Lepanto with pastor Chris Young officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza will be in charge of arrangements.
