Michael Alan Whitehead

Michael Alan Whitehead, 44, of Leachville, passed from this life Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Paragould, he was the son of the late Naomi Roberts Whitehead and had lived in Sarepta, La., several years before returning to Leachville in 1995. Michael was a 1996 graduate of Buffalo Island Central High School in Monette and had been a longtime employee of Paul Newell Collision Center in Blytheville and was currently an employee of DSD Restorations. Michael had a talent of working with his hands. He could fix anything and everything, but not without his coffee! Michael enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his son, Sam. He always looked forward to the annual fishing trips on White River with his son and sister Kandice. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Junior and Nell Dean Whitehead, and his maternal grandparents, Richard and Hautencia Roberts.

Survivors include one son, Samuel Whitehead of the home; his father, Larry Whitehead of Leachville; one brother, Larry Joe Whitehead (Barbara); sister, Kandice Hawkins, all of Leachville. He also leaves three nephews, Caden Whitehead, Riley Whitehead and Tyler Hawkins (Kia); three nieces, Destiny Hawkins, Krystyn Hawkins and Kara Hawkins; one great-nephew, Thatcher Hawkins; one great-niece, Kylie Hawkins; and a best friend of 28 years, Kechia Tucker Kifer.
