Rosa Juanita Payton

Rosa Juanita Payton, 74, of Marked Tree passed away Feb. 15, 2023, at her home. She was a baker and of the Pentecostal faith. Ms. Payton was born April 21, 1948, in Lambert, Miss., to Nathan Wright and Katie Davis Boak. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Carter Payton; two sisters, Maudie Bell and Katie Bell.

She is survived by her son, Marlin (Melinda Harris) Howe of Talladega, Ala.; three daughters, Sandra Howe and Anita Howe of Trumann, and Angela Hughes of Fayetteville; two brothers, Aaron (Peggy) Boak of Tyronza and Joe (Lois) Boak of Paragould; two sisters, Sandra Collier of Marked Tree and Ginger Covey of Rosedale, Miss.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 17, from 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza. Funeral will be Saturday, Feb. 18, at 10 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza with Bro. Tom Hazelwood officiating. Burial will be at Tyronza Cemetery in Tyronza. Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza will be in charge of arrangements.
