Roger Lee Smith

Roger Lee Smith of Lawton, Okla., was born July 25, 1981, to Samuel Smith and Mary Ann Riggins in Blytheville. He transitioned from his earthly life on Jan. 18, 2023, in Lawton at the age of 41.

Roger worked as a cook at Comanche County in Lawton, Okla. He loved his family. He enjoyed listening to all types of music and fishing. Roger’s smile had been known to light up any room. To many of his family and friends he was the cool guy that would make us laugh and share his endlessly favorite interest. He was beloved by everyone who ever met him; a fantastic father, a great husband and a best friend to all walks of life. No matter the circumstance, you’d always leave with a story of something funny/crazy Roger did while you were with him.

Roger is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Riggins of Lawton, Okla.; father, Samuel Lee Smith of Memphis, Tenn.; daughter, Ty Kerria Smith; grandchildren, Ke’yair Smith, Tykhail Smith, Bles’Syn Smith, all of Blytheville; sisters, DeAnna Rinkines (John) Rodgers of Anchorage, Alaska, Crystal Ann Jones of Lansing, Mich., Michelle Smith Dotson of Reading, Penn., Shanta Smith of Pine Bluff; brothers, Fredrick Lamar Davis of Lawton, Okla., Calvin Smith of Cape Coral, Fla., and Jermel Woods of Blytheville; aunts, Elizabeth Bates of Blytheville and Phyllis Lark of Oklahoma; uncles, Wyll Smith of Memphis, Tenn., Rev. Curtis Smith of Blytheville, Joe Rinkines of Michigan, Ronnie Rinkines of Cherokee, Okla., and Rickey Rinkines of Arizona; a special friend, Britney Patton; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 18, at 12:00 (noon) at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home Chapel.
