Jerrell Glenn Penix

Jerrell Glenn Penix, 70 of Leachville, passed from this life Friday, Feb. 10, 2023, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born in Manila, he was the son of the late Bobby Glen and Ruby Nell Shipley Penix and was a 1970 Manila High School graduate. He immediately began his career in the U.S. Army, serving 20 years. He then moved back to Northeast Arkansas and started working for EIS in Manila where he worked until the closing of the plant in 2000. Jerrell enjoyed spending time with his family, watching Fox News, M.A.S.H., do-it-yourself TV shows and repairing computers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Anna-Lisa Marie Penix, and two brothers, Bobby Joe Wesley Penix and Timothy Maynard Penix.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Krystyna Petasz Penix of the home; two sons, Dennis Penix and David Penix, both of Leachville; five daughters, Tanya Sharp (David) of Benton, Jennifer Penix of Leachville, Robin Penix of Newport, Shelby Penix of Magazine, Adrienne Penix (Keith Persa) of Leachville; one sister, Rebecca Cole (Jamie) of Pyatt. He also leaves three grandchildren.
