Alexander “AJ” Dewitt Smith Jr.

Alexander “AJ” Dewitt Smith Jr. was born April 1, 1996, to Alexander Smith Sr. and Rosalind Smith in Blytheville. At the age of 26, AJ passed away on Dec. 29,2022, in Aurora, Colo. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

He survived by his parents, Alexander Smith Sr. of Decatur, Ala., and Rosalind Smith of Madison, Ala.; one daughter, Zariah Smith of Denver, Colo.; four sisters, Chera Thomas of Baytown, Texas, Charlotte Smith of Decatur, Ala., Preshonda and Kreshonda Smith of Catonsville, Md.;one brother, Jordan Smith of Madison, Ala.; grandmother, Margaret Vample of Farmington Hills, Mich.; and great-grandmother, Mary Atterberry of Blytheville.

A visitation service will be held Friday, Jan. 13, at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 14, at Prince of Peace at 2 p.m. with Bishop Roy Davis officiating. The burial will follow afterwards at Memory Gardens in Blytheville. Wilson Funeral Home will conduct services.
