James Theodore Pugh

James Theodore Pugh, 58, of Blytheville, passed away Dec. 3, 2022, at Baptist Hospital in West Memphis. James was born Aug. 9, 1964, in Osceola to Leon Pugh Sr. and Dorothy Mae Lewis. He retired from the gin factory as a compressor. James completed 12 years of education and entered the National Guard for four years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Pugh Sr. and Dorothy Mae Pugh, and his brother, Leon Pugh Jr.

James is survived by his wife, Ruby Dawson Pugh of Blytheville; son, Kendrick Dawson of Marysville,Calif.; daughter, Sherrica Jefferson (Marcus) of Blytheville; two sisters, Elizabeth (Frank) Edwards of Blytheville and Ollie (David) Wilson of Marysville, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

A visitation service will be held Friday, Dec. 16, from 5-7 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. Funeral will be held Saturday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. at Loving Jesus Ministry with Pastor James T. Bragg officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville will provide services.
