Chad Ray Decker

Chad Ray Decker, 44, of Monette, passed from this life Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, in Monette. Born in Paragould, he had been a longtime Leachville resident before making his home in Monette in 2019. Chad was a 1997 graduate of Buffalo Island Central High School in Monette. He had been employed by Tenaris Tube and EPSCO and was currently employed by Nucor Steel in Armorel. A longtime member of Second Baptist Church in Leachville, he enjoyed spending time with his children, family get-togethers, spending time at Lake Norfork and dining out at different steak houses. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Marie Decker and J.D. and Lydia Shepard.

Survivors include two sons, Jaydan Eaton (Madison) of Lake City and Wyatt Decker of Manila; three daughters, Makala DuPont (Kenzee) of Manila, Lauren Decker of Leachville and Raegan Decker of the home; his parents, Jackie and Robin Decker of Leachville; one brother, Brandon Decker (Stephanie) of Monette. He also leaves three grandchildren, Waelyn DuPont, Slayde DuPont and Lainee DuPont.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Howard Funeral Service chapel in Leachville with Tim Bassing officiating. Serving as active pallbearers will be Aaron Hampton, Eddie Joe Webster, Adam Smith, Jack Webster, Farrell Imler, John Thrasher and Wes Cornish. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery.
