Talmadge Ray Loyd, 85, passed away at Great River Medical Center on Nov. 27, 2022. Born in Blytheville to Elbert Lloyd and Bertha Northington, Talmadge worked for Nibco as a shipping clerk for 48 and a half years. Talmadge was an active member of The Jesus Name Tabernacle in Caruthersville, Mo. Mr. Loyd was remembered for his work at the Ritz Theater and fondly nicknamed “Cadillac”. Talmadge never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. You would never catch him without his Texas hat on.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joyce Mildred Loyd, whom he visited graveside every day; and one brother, James Odell Lloyd.

Talmadge is survived by his two children, Bobby Loyd and his wife Rebecca and Darrin Lloyd and his wife Jaymie; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and his brother, Gerald Lloyd and wife Nancy.

Funeral services for Mr. Loyd will be held Thursday, Dec. 1, at 2:30 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
