Mary Frances Davis

Mary Frances Davis was born Jan. 11, 1960, in Dell and was the daughter of Fred Smith, Sr. and Gladys Hinton Smith. Mary was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church. She was a 1979 graduate of Blytheville High School and the University of Phoenix with her degree in education. She taught ninth grade in the Blytheville School District. Mary enjoyed crocheting and knitting and made scarves and blankets for her family and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Smith Sr. and Gladys Smith; brothers, James Brown, Jr. and Steve Evans; and one sister, Dorothy Hill.

She leaves to cherish precious memories her husband, Jeffrey Davis of the home; one son, Tyrone (Nicecell) Davis of Blytheville; three brothers, Fred (Oleeyer) Smith, Jr. of Blytheville, Frank Smith of St. Louis, Mo., and Charlie Smith of Blytheville; four sisters, Mae Bell Brown of Blytheville, Freddie Mae Smith of Gosnell, Ila Mae (Samuel) Scott of Trinity, Ala., and Lois Adams of Armorel; a goddaughter, Deasia Johnson of Osceola; four grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Love will be held Friday, July 22, at 4 p.m. at McDonald-Horne Funeral Home, 1207 South Division Street, Blytheville.
