Rosa Lee Bollinger, 90 of Manila, widow of Sam Bollinger, passed from this life Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at her home. Born in Bay to the late L.K. and Clara Grace Isbell Holt, she moved to Manila as a child with her family in a horse-drawn wagon. A 1950 graduate of Manila High School, she later attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. Rosa Lee was an accomplished seamstress and had worked in several area clothing and shoe factories over the years. She loved to knit, crochet and cook for her family. She was a member of the Blackwater Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Julie Bollinger; one grandson, Phillip Bollinger; two brothers, John Holt and Tim Holt; and one sister, Anita Wright.

Survivors include three sons, Sammie Bollinger, Jr. (Wanda) of Mountain Home, Artie Bollinger (Charlene Brown) of Manila and Tim Bollinger (Terri) of Jonesboro; one daughter, Duffey Short (John) of Manila; one brother, L. K. Holt, Jr. of Snow Lake; four sisters, Louise Roddy of Jonesboro, Nancy Williams of Little Rock, Ann Berry of Hardy and Jane Gaither of Cherokee Village. Rosa Lee also leaves eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Thursday, June 9, in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Tony Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Thursday afternoon from 2-3 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will include Sammie Bollinger, Artie Bollinger, Tim Bollinger, Samuel Lee Bollinger, John Short and Jim Ed Robins.
