Gary Deen

Gary Deen, 69, of Blytheville, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Gary was born in Blytheville to Travis Deen and Nancy White Gregory. He was a Blytheville resident for most of his life and was a retired carpenter. Gary enjoyed fishing and following the St. Louis Cardinals and the Arkansas Razorbacks. He loved watching the History Channel and Jeopardy, and could correctly answer many of the questions on the show. Gary was a bright, intelligent man with an engaging smile and a good sense of humor. Gary loved his family and was very proud of his children and grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Gary is survived by his children, Amy Deen Maas and her husband Brian, Brittany Deen of Lexington, Ky., and James Deen of Lexington, Ky.; grandson, Ryan Deen of Eustis, Fla.; and siblings, Wayne Deen and his wife Gail of St. Louis, Mo., Marshall Poole and his wife Stacy of Bono, Mary Ellen McLaughlin and her husband Mike of Athens, Ala., Erin Chobo and her husband Nathan of Chicago, Ill., and Samantha Gregory and her husband Justin of Bono.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 9, at 10 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Colton Lively officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
