Jerry Vance Van Dyke

Jerry Vance Van Dyke, 68, of Monette, passed from this life Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at the St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Oak Ridge, Mo., and raised in Cooter, Mo., he was the son of the late Roger "R.L." and Fronia Hatley Van Dyke and was a 1972 graduate of Cooter High School. Jerry was a retired truck driver with Tennessee Steel haulers with over 30 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Corey Lance Van Dyke; four brothers, (infant twin) Terry Lance Van Dyke, Roger Van Dyke, Mark Van Dyke and Randy Van Dyke; and his sister, Sherry Van Dyke Moore.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Karen Hicks Van Dyke of Monette; one son, S. Brandon Van Dyke (Casey Sellers) of Osceola; one brother, Chris Van Dyke (Sabra) of Blytheville; brother-in-law, Michael Hicks (Kim); sister-in-law, Donna Hicks Haney (Richie), all of Bowie, Texas; six grandchildren, Kiley Caviness, Skyler Van Dyke, Shylan Van Dyke, Kyle LeCompte, Tucker Van Dyke and Chandler Van Dyke. He also leaves six nieces, Kristy Chambers, Kami Van Dyke, Kaleigh Van Dyke, Kandace Van Dyke, Deborah Van Dyke and Elizabeth Van Dyke; one nephew, Shane Hogan; as well as other extended family members and friends.
