Steve "Mutt" Calvert

It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the peaceful passing of Steve "Mutt" Calvert, U.S. Army Ret., of Blytheville on Jan. 29, 2022. Mr. Calvert was 98.

He was a proud WW2 veteran and member of The American Legion for 76 years.

Mr. Calvert was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Lillie Calvert; his brother James; sisters, Madge, Dorothy and Marie; his wife Cora Calvert; and his great-granddaughter Jessica Crockett.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Brenda Calvert Crockett; his granddaughters, Stephanie Crockett and Stacy Pankuch, her husband Tim Pankuch; his great-granddaughter Jennifer; his great-great grandchildren, Aden and Ariah; in addition to his beloved Ms. Dorothy Kinkead, his sister Pat Sellers and her family.

Services will be held at Dogwood Cemetery in Blytheville at 11 a.m. Feb. 16, followed by a gathering at American Legion Post 24. Service are provided by Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville.
