Mary Wilda Lovelady

Mary Wilda Lovelady, 95, of Dexter, MO., former longtime Leachville resident and widow of Wilburn Lovelady, passed from this life Monday,  Jan. 31, 2022, at the Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center in Dexter.  Born in Eaton to the late Leland and Elsie Fields Stewart, she was a 1944 graduate of Leachville High School and had lived most of her life in Leachville. She was a retired teller for the former Leachville State Bank and was a longtime member of Leachville First Baptist Church where she served many years as church secretary. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Stewart.

Survivors include her son Ronnie Lovelady (Marsha) of Dexter; daughter Karen Simpkins (Stan) of Paragould; one brother, Bill Stewart of Pine Bluff; four grandchildren, Jason Simpkins, Jared Simpkins, Kurt Lovelady and Kara Wilson; and eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Pastor David Price officiating. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery. Family will receive friends at 11:30 until service time. Online guest register: www.howardfuneralservice.com
