Fred Eugene Ramey

Fred Eugene Ramey, 70, of Blytheville passed from this life on Friday, Dec. 10, 2021, at Oakdale Nursing Facility. He was born in Blytheville on Oct. 28, 1951 to Dick and Marsha (Melton) Ramey.

Fred served in the Air Force for four years. He spent most of this time overseas. He enjoyed watching Western movies and Cardinal baseball. He worked many years at Consolidated Supply; he later worked at E&I Electric and retired from there. Fred married the love of his life, Shirley Page Ramey; they were married for 39 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his brother, Rick Ramey Jr.; his sister, Mary Overturf.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sisters, JoAnn Gray of Chatham, Virginia and Erma Mays of Van Buren, and his sister-in-law, Elaine Green (Melvin) of Austin, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Elaine and Melvin for all their love and help for Fred.

Graveside services will be Friday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. at Dogwood Cemetery in Blytheville.
