Armorel employees test positive; BIC goes virtual

The Armorel School district announced that two employees (one Elementary staff and one High School staff) tested positive for COVID-19.

In a Facebook post published on Saturday, the district stated: “Unfortunately, an Armorel High School employee has tested positive for COVID-19. We are not at liberty to disclose the names of the positive case or the possible close contacts. If your child has possibly been exposed, we will contact you directly. Thank you for ongoing support and your continued grace through these difficult times!”

A similar post by the district was made on Monday regarding a staff member at the Elementary Campus.

No additional information has been provided.

Meanwhile, BIC schools will go virtual until Monday.

Buffalo Island Central Schools, grades K-12, will pivot to virtual learning from Tuesday, Sept. 22, through Friday, Sept. 25.

Students will return to campus on Monday, Sept. 28.

BIC Pre-K will remain open.
