Willie James Hughes

Willie James Hughes, 63, of Osceola, died June 5, 2020, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was a factory worker and a member of St. Mark AME in Osceola. Mr. Hughes was born June 19, 1956, in Keiser to Charlie James Hughes and Rosie Lee Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Gloria Hughes, one brother Larry Hughes and one sister Charlene Davis.

He is survived by four sons, Willie Hughes, Jr. and Anthony (Lashonda) Hughes of Jonesboro, Gerald Hughes of Atlanta, Ga., and Cory Holmes of Blytheville; four daughters, Jacqueline (Andre) Hughes, Terri (Justin) Robinson and Tamara Hughes of Osceola, and Shirlonda Buford of Jonesboro; four brothers, Harold Hughes of Osceola, David Hughes of Napperville, Ill., Eddie Jackson of Springville, Ill., and Clarence Hughes of Milwaukee, Wis.; four sisters, Lizzie Walker and Cathy Hughes of Osceola, Annie Brustman of Marion, Iowa, and Carolyn Fourston of Milwaukee, Wis.; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, June 12, from 5-7 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral will be Saturday, June 13, at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge.
