Orvel "Dean" Davis

Orvel "Dean" Davis, 85, of Paragould, formerly of Leachville, passed from this life Friday, April 3, 2020, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born and raised in Leachville, he was the son of the late Orville and Vera Burgess Davis and had been a longtime Illinois resident. He was retired from General Motors-Fisher Auto Body and was a member of both the United Auto Workers Union, as well as, the Boilermakers Union in Chicago. Dean returned to Northeast Arkansas in 1998, and enjoyed farming, working in his pecan orchard, collecting antiques and flea markets. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gaylon Davis and Kenneth Davis.

He is survived by four daughters, Deana Kilgos, Brenda Burgo, Dawna Kavanaugh and husband Kevin and Kristie Barlow; three brothers, Travis Davis, Jake Davis and Louis Davis.

He also leaves seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Due to the current ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Dean's service will be for immediate family members only, in the interest of public safety. Arrangements are under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville.
