Larry Paul "Friday Joe" Garrison

Larry Paul "Friday Joe" Garrison, 73, of Paragould, former longtime Jonesboro resident, the son of the late Kenneth and Mary Ann Beaver Garrison, passed from this life Thursday, March 26, 2020, at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. Born and raised in Leachville, he was a 1964 graduate of Leachville High School and had been an Arkansas State Trooper for 28 years, retiring in 2003. During his time with the state police, he served on the Drug Task Force for several years. "Friday Joe", as he was known, was fond of classic cars and trucks, old western movies, spending time with friends at Burger King and McDonalds and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his daughter, Jodi Breckenridge and her husband Kyle; his brother, Wayne Garrison; his sister, Barbara DePriest; his granddaughter, Aubrey Breckenridge. He also leaves a special niece, Robin Woodbury, and other dear family members and many friends.
