Lois V. Mason

Lois V. Mason, 91, of Blytheville, passed away Friday, June 21, 2019 at Gosnell Therapy and Living Center. Born in Blytheville to Earnest and Betty Howell Vernon, Lois was a homemaker and a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, working in her yard and playing Bingo. Lois was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Admal “Junior” Mason, Jr.; her parents; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Patsy Mason; three brothers, Bobby, Louis and Paul Vernon; sister, Argie Raines; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.

Lois leaves four children, Mary A. Ferguson and her husband Jim of Woodleaf, N.C., Barbara A. Evans and her husband Rick of Guilford, Conn., Ilene May and her husband Stan of Hornersville, Mo., and Inez Pennington and her husband Hershel of Blytheville; two sisters, Beauton Foster of Senath, Mo., and Amy Adams of Marmaduke; 14 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Wofford officiating. Entombment will follow in Dogwood Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home.
